Rev. Jim Jennings is part of Kaua`i Hospice’s spiritual care team and provides bereavement and spiritual care to our patients, families and members of the community. Jim has lived on Kaua`i for seven years and hails from Washington, DC where he spent most of his professional life working closely with non-profit organizations and serving for a period of time as a volunteer therapist in a community clinic on Capital Hill. His roots are in the Episcopal Church but his approach to spiritual care embraces a wide range of not only faith disciplines but also non traditional practices and beliefs with a concentration on the emotional and psychological needs of patients and families in Hospice care.

Jim has worked for decades with the medical and mental health communities, focusing primarily on how to understand patients’ total needs. He has a pre-med degree, a Masters in Divinity and a law degree. Jim lives on the North Shore with his life partner and has never met a dog he did not like.
