3-Day Volunteer Training
Volunteers are the heart of hospice. If you are compassionate and caring, and have a desire to serve others, volunteers can enhance the quality of life of our patients and their families.
Hospice Philosophy & History, Cultivating the Art of Listening, The Hospice Patient & Family, Religious & Ethnic Considerations, As Death Nears, Grief and Loss, The Role of the Hospice Volunteer, Confidentiality & Ethics.
To enroll in the 3-day end-of-life care Volunteer Training, please contact Rayne Regush, Volunteer Coordinator for an application (808-245-7277), or complete the application online at www.kauaihospice.org. A pre-screening interview is also required.
Training Schedule – Must attend all three sessions
Saturday, September 9, 2023 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 10, 2023 – 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 16, 2023 – 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
